ABOUT ALANNA MURPHY

Alanna is currently a student at Fordham University. She attended high school at The Academy of Mercy Lauralton Hall in Milford, CT. She is a singer, musician, and actress. In her last two high school productions, Alanna has had the pleasure of playing the leading female roles, including Morticia Addams in The Addams Family, and Lady of the Lake in Spamalot. For her role of Lady of the Lake, Alanna received a HALO Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actress. The HALO Awards highlight achievements for top performers in all CT high school productions. In addition to this, she has also played Gingy in Shrek and Ursula in The Little Mermaid. Outside of school, Alanna starred in perhaps her largest role at age 10, where she played Annie in the Bridgeport Downtown Cabaret’s production of Annie Jr-- a professional 40 show performance over a 6 week period alongside equity actors.

         Alanna was a member of Lauralton’s elite choir: Advanced Vocal Ensemble. In this group, she performed at numerous school and community events. This included a holiday show at Disney’s Epcot Center in 2017, and 2019 performances in the Vatican and Rome. Alanna has also participated in numerous vocal and piano recitals and is a self-taught guitarist.
